Arosa Lenzerheide is nominated with "Light Ride" for the Swiss Mountain Award

Every two years, the industry organization "Seilbahnen Schweiz" presents the Swiss Mountain Award, the Swiss ropeway innovation prize. The prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding individual and group performance within the Swiss ropeway industry. Arosa Lenzerheide is one of the three nominated projects together with Noa with night sledding experience "Light Ride".

Lenzerheide

Ropeways Switzerland pays tribute to the public invitation to tender Services and products that have a positive impact on the development of the industry in particular and, secondarily, on its image and continuously promote an incentive for innovation within the Swiss ropeway industry.

Noa and Lenzerheide Bergbahnen hit the nail on the head with "Light Ride", according to a statement from the guests and the jury. The night sledding experience with multi-sensory light installations and music gives guests a sometimes rough ride towards the valley. The descent is also timed, with guests trying their hand at breaking the speed record. The "Light Ride" is located on the lower part of the Scharmoin-Canols toboggan run on the Lenzerheide side and can be reached by means of the Rothorn 1 gondola.

In addition to "Light Ride", the expert jury nominated the turbine project of Technoalpin Switzerland and Davos Klosters Bergbahnen as well as the V-Bahn project of Jungfrau Railways Management.

The three projects will be presented on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 on the occasion of the Forum of Ropeways Switzerland in Le Châble and the winner will be awarded afterwards.
