LMS AG: New composition of the Board of Directors

LMS is the destination marketing and management organization of the Lenzerheide vacation region. In view of the renewal elections of the Board of Directors of LMS, three new members are up for election at the General Meeting in September 2021. Among them is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. The incumbent Chairman of the Board of Directors Ernst "Aschi" Wyrsch has already decided in spring 2021 not to stand for re-election.

Ernst "Aschi" Wyrsch was a member of the Board of Directors of LMS from 2011 to 2015 and has chaired this body as Chairman since September 2015. "The strategic support and management of LMS AG has always been a great honor and pleasure for me. It is with great gratitude that I hand over the strategic leadership scepter to my successor in September 2021," Wyrsch was quoted as saying in a statement from LMS.

Daniel Stiefel nominated as Chairman of the Board of Directors

The two main shareholders Lenzerheide Bergbahnen and Lenzerheide Tourismus have nominated Daniel Stiefel as the future Chairman of the Board of Directors in a joint selection process. The 56-year-old managing director and management consultant has had strong ties with Lenzerheide since his childhood. As a second-home resident, he is very familiar with the tourist offerings of the vacation region. "Daniel Stiefel brings with him a competent view from the outside, unencumbered by the usual tourism-internal perspectives and with the guest's glasses," emphasizes Felix Frei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lenzerheide Bergbahnen LBB.

As an experienced manager and consultant in the areas of customer relationship management, marketing, digitalization and controlling in the national and international environment, Daniel Stiefel is looking forward to his new challenge in his second home: "I am a fan of the region and think we have a very attractive offer both in winter and summer. I am therefore delighted to put my professional experience and my view as a guest at the service of LMS AG and, together with the team, help to continue to successfully position the vacation region and develop it further in line with the needs of our guests and the population".

Brigitte Küng and Felix Frei as new representatives of LBB

In addition to the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, the two seats of LBB will also be filled at the renewal elections in September 2021. Brigitte Küng has been proposed as a member of the Board of Directors in place of Yvonne Brigger-Vogel. As former head of the SME Center at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden FHGR, Brigitte Küng has an excellent network in the tourism canton of Graubünden, according to the statement. In her current role as senior project manager at Hanser Consulting, she also brings experience in the implementation of tourism and entrepreneurial projects in and outside the canton, it added. "I look forward to working together on the Board of Directors to develop and implement innovative strategies for the Lenzerheide vacation region," Brigitte Küng emphasizes.

LBB's second seat on the Board of Directors of LMS will be filled by Felix Frei instead of Ariane Ehrat. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of LBB thus intends to prominently represent LBB's strategic responsibility as the main shareholder. "It is a great concern of mine to further develop and consolidate the important cooperation between the two companies for the entire destination. In my opinion, we have let this slide somewhat in recent years," emphasizes Felix Frei. As one of his first official acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors of LBB, he has already developed a previously non-existent owner's strategy for LMS together with Lenzerheide Tourism.

Giancarlo Pallioppi and Nico Pesko ensure continuity

The two current members Giancarlo Pallioppi and Nico Pesko are standing for another term of office as representatives of Lenzerheide Tourism, thus ensuring continuity in the highest body of LMS. Depending on the outcome of the upcoming municipal elections, the three representatives of the political municipalities of Vaz/Obervaz, Churwalden and Lantsch/Lenz will also be newly nominated. (pd)
