Bernexpo with Co-Presidency

For health reasons, Franziska von Weissenfluh no longer wishes to take on the top management of the company alone. She will step down from the Board of Directors of Bernexpo and Messepark Bern at the AGM 2021.

Peter Stähli has been involved in the Bernexpo Board of Directors since 2019 and has been Vice Chairman of the Board since the end of May 2020. He will lead the company as Co-Chairman until the Annual General Meeting in spring 2021. Whether he will make himself available as Chairman beyond the 2021 Annual General Meeting is currently still open.

Franziska von Weissenfluh, as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Messepark Bern, intends to continue to campaign for the urgently needed new construction of the old festival hall. Thanks to the sale of the majority of the infrastructure company, Messepark Bern AG, which was completed in May, there are realistic chances for the Bern Exhibition Center that the generation project "New Festival Hall" can be realized in the foreseeable future.
