LiveCom: Safely on with confidence building

Now that the ban on events with more than 1,000 participants has been lifted as of October, it is a matter of restoring confidence among event guests that and how safe occasions are possible. This is the tenor of the weekly LiveCom roundtable of specialized event agencies.

After the Federal Council on August 12 allowed large-scale events from October 1 again, the LiveCom industry can now finally show again that and how safe events, even with more than 300 participants, are possible. "The point now is to bring about a certain demo effect. That, not the lifting of the permitted number of participants, will be match decisive," was the tenor of the LiveCom specialists.

 

Create trust - bring back the fun factor

At the moment, it's not just the legal situation that prevents large-scale events, but the subjective mood regarding security, which suffered during the lockdown. The number of participants now plays a rather subordinate role, but the demonstrations of how to hold events safely - and still have fun, network and do business. Now the belief in a return to classic events under the necessary security precautions must be restored.

There will already be an opportunity for this "demonstration of confidence" on October 1, 2020, when the LiveCom industry's most important event, the Xaver Award 2020, will take place again. It will be flanked as a reduced live event with a maximum of 300 guests, but online for anyone and everyone who wants to participate. The Xaver Award 2020 will take place in the Maag Halle in trendy Zurich West, where the necessary event infrastructure does not have to be built first, but is already available.
