BoE Dortmund: Total work of art in live communication

With a total of five occupied halls at Messe Dortmund as well as events in the Congress Center, the international trade fair for experiential marketing, BoE International, was once again the most important industry meeting place for representatives from the fields of event organization and equipment as well as exhibition stand construction on January 15 and 16, 2020. With more than 11000 visitors and 625 exhibitors, the fair has developed positively with its exhibition theme "Technology" this year.

Expodata

After the end of Suisse-Emex in Zurich, BoE International is the only important event trade show in the German-speaking countries. And BoE is still growing: This year, the international trade fair for experiential marketing attracted more than 11,000 trade visitors and 625 exhibitors. Everyone who is anybody in the event scene was inspired by innovative solutions around the topic of technology and educated themselves in highly topical lectures.

International

"The BoE offers a high-quality supporting program and a great range of exhibitors," says Sabine Loos, General Manager of the Westfalenhallen Group of Companies. Visitors from all 16 German states were guests at the fair. Foreign visitors were strongly represented from the Netherlands, Austria, France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Slovakia, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria or from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Even from the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Thailand extra guests had arrived. A high degree of internationalization was also evident on the exhibitor side: exhibitors from a total of 15 countries were represented at this year's BoE, for example from the Netherlands, France and Great Britain, Austria and Italy, the USA or the United Arab Emirates.

BrandEx Festival

The second edition of the International Festival of Brand Experience (BrandEx), which took place the day before the trade show, also contributed to this. In addition to presentations by first-class speakers, the most creative live communication projects in the segments "Event," "Architecture," "Crossmedia," "Planning, Craft, Production" and "Fresh" received the BrandEx Awards. In front of more than 1,000 guests, 51 award winners were presented with trophies in gold, silver or bronze at a festive ceremony (Werbewoche.ch reported).

New LiveCom study

The European industry survey conducted by the LiveCom Alliance (LCA), one of BoE's strategic cooperation partners, shows what other current trends and developments are moving the event industry. The survey was conducted by the R.I.F.E.L. Institute in eight European member countries of the LCA with a total of 700 member agencies and thus maps the major trends and economic drivers for live communication in the world's largest free trade zone. Marten Schramm, founder and managing director of the LCA, presented the results exclusively at the BoE.
