Humanoid robots go mobile

Business Innovation Week "Robolution is coming," says Jean Christophe Gostanian. The CEO and owner of Avatarion Technology AG is an advocate of humanoid robotics and convinced that these types of robots will help make artificial intelligence and digitization tangible.

The digital transformation is in full swing, robots will massively change our social environment, services and industry. "Business Innovation Week Switzerland" (BIW19) in October, visitors will experience the live experience show "Robolution" with three premieres. Then Pepper, Nao and DJ Mecabot will get powerful offspring. Hollywood robotics feeds popular expectations. Hardly a week goes by without the launch of a new virtual assistant, a chatbot, a welcome service or dialog and live translation aids.

Artificial intelligence

Virtual assistants take many different forms and shapes: in the home, from the refrigerator in the kitchen to the alarm clock in the bedroom to the mirrored wardrobe in the dressing room, in the driverless car and in the office without paper. The implementation can be entirely virtual or even more and more in the form of a humanoid robot. Siri and Alexa are digital, DJ Mecabot puts people in the mood spatially as a representational figure. "The Mecabots, Naos and Peppers make digitization and artificial intelligence tangible. That creates trust!" says Avatarion CEO Jean Christophe Gostanian.

Cost pressure

And that's what it takes: Professions and jobs will be taken over by robots, entire industries will (have to) change in no time if robots take over the reception Ewa Ming is the initiator of Business Innovation Week 2019.

The initiator

Ewa Ming, founder and initiator of Business Innovation Week, makes a point of giving robots enough space: "There's no question that humanoid robots inspire respect, perhaps even fear. But they also help to make algorithms, chatbots, bits and bites more comprehensible and understandable for ordinary people in the rapid pace of digitalization."

At BIW19, "Robolution" will therefore also occupy a significant space in the Live Experience Hall. The prerequisite for these digital services, for virtual services, Internet of Things and humanoid robots is a powerful and mobile network. BIW key partner Salt will also present new 5G applications together with Avatarion and Nokia.

Invite dialogue

Business Innovation Week thus focuses on innovations for companies and invites dialog. A knowledge and experience platform for new technologies, trends and business models is being created at the vibrant workplace of Zurich Oerlikon - the meeting place for entrepreneurs, founders and future shapers. Compact with daily focus topics, there will be relevant expertise and trends from top speakers, live experience, workshops and plenty of space for networking and meeting employees from all levels of a company. And in the evening, DJ Mecabot will rock the hall.

Business Innovation Week

The "Business Innovation Week" is a new multi-location set-up with Future Conference, Academy, Live Experience and Side Events and occupies various locations in Zurich Oerlikon that are all within walking distance of each other: including Hall 622, the StageOne Event & Convention Hall and the MFO Denk&Werkstatt. This allows visitors not only a spatial but also a content-related, interdisciplinary change of perspective and experience. The program includes international keynotes, live experience, labs, studio workshops, startup pitches and themed tours at "NŒRD" (Gewerbehaus der Kreativen), at Credit Suisse in the CS Tower and a retail tour or serving food in a hospital or nursing home or becoming the right hand of the boss or teacher in the classroom. A lack of workers and cost pressures will accelerate these processes. But Gostanian also urges responsible use of humanoid robotics: "It's up to us humans to introduce and use these intelligent machines responsibly."

The Manifesto

Business Innovation Week and Artonomie AG call for a new way of thinking and acting in the Swiss economy.

Our vision

Over the next ten years, 20,659 Swiss companies are expected to transform themselves to think and act differently for a different economy. Exactly that many companies are needed to trigger change in a country. These companies put sense orientation before profit orientation and thus contribute significantly to a sustainably sensible economy.

According to a Harvard study, serious political changes have taken place in the last century where at least 3.5 percent of the population actively participated in change processes. According to the Federal Statistical Office, there are 590,253 companies in Switzerland.

Our theses

! If you want to act in a new way, you have to think in a new way

! Future means (dis)destruction of existing things

! In global crises no national "transformatiönchen" helps

! Come to Mache-ting, forget Marke-ting

! Do not acquire customers, find accomplices

! Who allows the unusual, can break out

! Disruption acts louder than words

! The money is there ! It is about the sensible redistribution

! The cheerful seriousness is the key for sustainable solutions

! Attitude is the USP of the 3rd millennium

! …
