Villa with knights hallSt. Charles Hall in Meggen is also a major player in the conference and event sector and can back this up with figures: Last year, the team headed by Yvanka Gerussi handled an impressive 71 events with around 5800 guests (compared to 60 orders in the previous year). The annual report also shows that the turnover from rentals was around 240,000 Swiss francs.The historic villa in Meggen, dating from 1920, is also in a fantastic location, directly on Lake Lucerne and with a view of the lake and mountains. The three working rooms, Rittersaal, Wienersaal and Gobelinzimmer, can be used by up to 150 guests, and for standing dinners/apéros by up to 230 people. The winter garden can also be used for smaller meetings. The sponsor is, by the way, a private foundation, which has to generate the necessary financial means for the preservation and maintenance of the villa from just such private orders; i.e. without public contributions. Another USP is that company groups can travel directly by boat from Lucerne to Meggen.Work and pleasure in ReichenauThe old and venerable castles can be quite peaceful on some days and a platform for great and energetic corporate events on others. Francesca von Tscharner, responsible for events at Schloss Reichenau, also enjoys this constellation: "Our castle at the confluence of the Hinterrhein and Vorderrhein rivers is a cultural-historical place where wine, pleasure and joy also meet. It is located in the middle of a quiet and beautiful park with a chapel and offers historic rooms for dream weddings, seminars or banquets. We can also offer guided tours of the castle and wine tastings for corporate groups as part of the supporting program. "Reichenau is also successful in the conference and event sector and this year alone hosted seven general meetings with subsequent dinners in the months of March to May. Von Tscharner proudly adds, "And between March and October, we not only have many more private birthday parties or our own concert series; we also get to host 22 wedding banquets."
