Davos is the pioneering community for cross-country skiing.Over the past two years, the municipality of Davos has invested heavily in the cross-country skiing infrastructure. In addition to the expansion of the snow farm, a snowmaking system has been installed to secure the start and finish area on the Bünda, and the new cross-country skiing center will open next December. This underlines the region's position as a leader. Thanks to the snowfarming project, numerous bookings are being received from foreign teams who want to train in Davos and generate corresponding overnight stays, and the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Davos will take place from December 10 - 11, 2016 to celebrate.
