Over the course of eleven days, the program includes Chabis city dishes, wild-growth cooking squashes, city beekeeper workshops, tours of underground kitchens, master classes with star chefs and a big FOOD ZURICH party at Zurich's Engrosmarkt. For the first edition, the Basque Country could be won as a guest region. The guest chefs of the Basque Culinary Center will represent the culinary stronghold at several events.From top chefs and star hotelsThe city's most successful chefs are committed to FOOD ZURICH, with the kitchen teams of Zurich's best-known 5-star hotels and the Basque Culinary Center from the Basque Country getting in the mood for the coming days of enjoyment at the Opening Night at the Jelmoli FOOD MARKET on September 8. Tal Ronnen, the US star chef for vegan cuisine, will conjure up unique dishes together with Oliver Rais at Baur au Lac. The Hamburg top chef Norman Fischer will exclusively open his kitchen for a taster day and thus enable one (!) person to raise cooking skills to star level. The culinary skills of his compatriot Holger Stromberg, the chef of the German national football team, will guide through the evening at the Fifa World Football Museum. Thanks to daily guided tours by Candrian Catering AG, those interested can dive deep into the underground of the main station and gain a unique insight into one of the largest underground production facilities in Europe. Kramer Gastronomie offers a real taste parcours: with the "Running Dinner" you can enjoy three courses in three different restaurants, the sporty courses in between lead you to the most beautiful corners of the city. And under the name "vier & eins", the "House of Food" is being staged at Zwinglistrasse 18.
