Insight into electricity production from hydropower during a power plant tour.–        Energy in graniteExperience the energy in granite up close. The guided tour includes a visit to the Grimsel 2 power plant and the million-year-old crystal fissure in the access tunnel. The tour lasts 1.5 hours and takes place several times a day. A maximum of 24 people can take part in a guided tour. Larger groups can book up to three tours (max. 72 persons) at the same time.        Experience damReservoirs are energy storage facilities. The water stored in a lake can be converted into electrical energy at any time. Experience the inside of the Räterichsboden dam, which was built in 1950. The guided tour can be booked daily with a maximum of 24 persons. It lasts one hour.        Experience hydropowerHere in the Innertkirchen 1 power plant, which is located underground, the mighty masses of water from the Grimsel gather and become electrical energy. Tirelessly and precisely, the ultra-modern controlled power plant regulates the Swiss power grid. The guided tour lasts 1.5 hours and takes place daily. Gelmerbahn-Sommer
The steepest funicular in Europe: the Gelmerbahn.–        Gelmerbahn (24 persons per ride)The steepest funicular in Europe with a maximum gradient of 106% takes you from Alp Handegg up to turquoise-blue Gelmersee. Along the lake, original streams and huge rock slabs invite you to linger.-.         Triftbahn (8 persons per ride)The gondola glides weightlessly over the Trift Gorge and takes a maximum of eight people at a time from the Gadmental up to the Trift area. The former industrial railroad provides access to a hiking area and its undisputed highlight - the Trift Bridge.
