When a corporate event is to be remembered, organizers often choose an adventure trip. The so-called incentives promote motivation and build team spirit. Switzerland in particular, with its mountains and valleys, has a number of options to offer in this regard. Starting with the journey, which is an experience in itself. Dampfbahn-Furka
Such a railroad is located on the Furka mountain line. It stretches across the regions of Urseren in the canton of Uri and Goms in the canton of Valais - a seam in the longitudinal furrow of the Swiss Alps. From the end of June to the beginning of October, the "Bahn Furka" invites you to take a ride through flora and fauna, tunnels, over bridges and rack ramps. The trains run with over 100-year-old steam locomotives and carriages. For group trips and events, among other things, they offer tailor-made solutions. These include the "Rotten Gorge Adventure," which takes 25 minutes through the gorge of the Rhone River. The technical highlight is the 578-meter-long helical tunnel, which turns 340 degrees and climbs 46 meters in altitude. In Gletsch itself, visitors can see sights such as the Anglican Chapel, the exhibition "Landscape on the Rhone Glacier " and the alpine cheese dairy. Catering will also be provided. Passengers benefit from a comprehensive range of catering options. www.dfb.chAppenzell railroad
AppenzellerBahn
The Appenzell Railway runs past the Ebenalp, the Hoher Kasten, Säntis and Gäbris. It takes the guest from Altstätten and Rheineck in the Rhine Valley and St.Gallen and Gossau in the Fürstenland to Appenzell, the cantonal capital of Innerrhoden, and thus offers a good connection to the mountains around. For company excursions, the railroad company offers various possibilities. In addition to group packages, individual programs can also be arranged. All offers include an adventure ride in a special carriage with an aperitif if desired. For this purpose, the company recommends the nostalgic vehicles, which are over 100 years old and have been restored. The most popular offer in winter is the fondue fun in the bistro car. A new offer is the carriage ride with a raclette feast. During the ride, guests enjoy an aperitif with Appenzell specialties in the Bistro Carriage. This is followed by the carriage ride through the Appenzellerland. Meanwhile, mulled wine is served. Then it's back to the train, where the raclette awaits. Throughout the year, the Appenzeller feast is available on the Hirschberg. Here, too, an aperitif is first served in the carriage, followed by a hike to the panorama restaurant Hoher Hirschberg. All offers are available from 20 persons. www.appenzellerbahnen.chMatterhorn Gotthard Railway

Brienz-Rothornbahn
From Brienz, via Planalp, high up to the Rothorn Kulm station, the Brienzer Rothornbahn runs. In 1829, the point where the borders of the cantons of Bern, Lucerne and Obwalden meet was marked with a granite stone. The Rothorn is one of the most popular viewpoints in the Bernese Oberland. The steam rack railroad leads to this point. Groups of ten or more can charter an entire train. As a group experience, the Rothornbahn recommends taking a tour of the workshop in Brienz before the trip - for a look behind the scenes of the railroad. Before the steam train departs for Rothorn Kulm, there is a small aperitif in the Rothorn Bistro. The ride takes about an hour. Once at the top and after a short walk, lunch is served at Rothorn Kulm. Later we will return to Brienz. www.brienz-rothorn-bahn.ch Author: Melanie Granados
