Using social media ads to raise awareness of Alzheimer's Switzerland

Gemeinsam mit Ads & Figures lancierte Alzheimer Schweiz eine Kampagne rund um den Welt-Alzheimertag, um zu sensibilisieren und den Website-Traffic zu steigern.

Every 16 minutes, someone in Switzerland is newly diagnosed with Alzheimer's or another dementia disease - a figure that is alarming and needs to be drawn attention to. Together with Ads & Figures, Alzheimer Switzerland therefore launched a campaign around World Alzheimer's Day to raise awareness and increase website traffic.

The non-profit organization relies on memberships, active involvement and voluntary donations. This enables it to support people with dementia and their families, advance research, engage in political activities and promote awareness of the disease. With the right support, the course of the disease can be stabilized or even delayed, which many people simply do not know.

Creatives with statistics and study results

In order to push awareness and sensitization, this year's World Alzheimer's Day in September was to draw more attention to the topic of dementia with the help of social media ads. For this purpose, a campaign with different creatives was played out, which transported medical statistics and study results in its appropriate messages. The aim was to get users thinking and direct them to the landing page. alzheimer-switzerland.ch be directed.

The campaign outperformed last year's flights with around 12 percent less spend than the previous year and generated around 311 percent more clicks. The optimized setup, as well as the revised bidding strategies, helped to achieve a significantly more favorable click price: the CPC was reduced by 81 percent. With an increase of 1,200 percent in the click rate (CTR), more clicks in total compared to the previous year and a shorter runtime, the campaign was a success for Alzheimer Switzerland.
