There is still nothing to shake about the social media throne: Energy Switzerland continues to greet us from the very top - and in March, with an increase in interactions of 12 percent, ensures that the competition remains at a distance. In the case of Energy, 12 percent means almost 400,000 interactions - roughly as many as Lematin.ch (approx. 405,000) achieved in the month of March.

Ringier titles are generally on the rise again. As a result, Izzy generated almost 30 percent more interactions than in the previous month. This is remarkable - despite the fact that the previous month was three days shorter. Ringier's youth portal achieved eight of the ten most successful Swiss postings in March. First and foremost, the Instagram video in which Izzy editor Cedric Schild incited an SVP politician to commit election fraud on the phone. The case made waves in the media - and not just at Ringier's neighbor Blick.

While all other top 10 players gained in March, SRF lost 6 percent, falling off the podium and landing in 5th place. The relatively broad-based SRF lost on all social media channels. On Instagram, around 65,000 interactions compared to the previous month. The NZZ also weakens in March and falls out of the Top10: minus 13 percent, 5 places down - 11th place.

The top posts of the articles show that the Basel killing case, in which a 75-year-old woman stabbed a 7-year-old boy to death, has shaken the population. No less than three articles on this case appear in the top 5.

The Austrian start-up Storyclash records social interaction with media content. Every month, the Social News Ranking shows which media providers performed how and which were the posts with the most interactions. Werbewoche publishes the Swiss ranking exclusively.
