Shopping app Bring! expands themed specials

The shopping app Bring! continues to expand its offering for users and advertisers: There is now a revised and expanded version of the theme specials, which bundle tips, recommendations and suitable products in their own areas for seasonal occasions.

With the new version, Bring! Theme Worlds, where users can find everything they need to plan their shopping: from product tips and suggestions to recipes.

Themed worlds bring advertisers and consumers together

For retailers and brands, the specials offer an optimal opportunity to present their products in a perfectly coordinated thematic environment. Native advertising formats are used to present products in a thematic context and enable event-related communication. The feature is launched with a special on the topic of hiking. Future specials are planned for Christmas, Veganuary, Easter and barbecues, for example.

"Seasonality is now one of the most important shopping criteria for Swiss consumers, as our user survey in the spring showed," says Nadine Müller, Head of Sales Switzerland at Bring! "Our specials serve precisely to support seasonal shopping and do so in a theme-affine environment. Consumers get a perfect overview of seasonal products and offers as well as many suggestions that help them to shop more consciously. But advertising companies also benefit: They can present their products and brands in an environment that suits them. This enables them to address consumers when it matters: at the moment of shopping planning."

Shopping trends 2022: Shorter supermarket visits and more focus on price and offers

How the Swiss buy and plan is analyzed by the Bring! Shopper Guide 2022which the company has just published. The report is based on an analysis of anonymized data from the app and a user survey. The results show how the pandemic and the increased cost of living have changed shopping behavior. The Swiss are once again shopping more often, but for shorter periods: From twice a week in 2020, the frequency of shopping rose to three, while the average duration of a supermarket visit fell from 13 to 11 minutes. Weekend shopping, on the other hand, remains popular: the most frequent day is Saturday, followed by Friday.

A look at the importance of special offers shows that money is no longer so loose: For 36 percent of consumers, they are important when planning their purchases. This is also confirmed by figures from the spring survey: According to the survey, almost half of Swiss consumers (47 percent) pay attention to price when shopping, and for 36 percent, current offers play a key role in deciding which supermarket or store to buy from.

"Shorter and more often, but always as cheaply as possible: the Bring! Shopper Guide, shows how pandemic and inflation have changed shopping behavior," says Müller. "For brands and retailers, it is therefore all the more important to know how, when and why their customers shop, because only then can they target them as precisely as possible. Bring! makes this possible. At the same time, we support consumers, for example, by making offers accessible to them as easily as possible and in a personalized way."
