Havas opens first Village in the Metaverse

Havas Group, which has 68 so-called "Villages" in over 100 countries, is now the first communications network to own a piece of virtual space in the video game "The Sandbox". This marks the opening of the 69th Havas Village as the first purely virtual one in the Metaverse.

HavasHavas Group supports brands in developing and implementing their communication strategies across all potential areas. In the future, the establishment of a Havas Village in the Metaverse will help brands successfully enter and navigate this virtual world to build strong connections with gamer consumers and meaningfully charge the brand image. Last year, the group had already launched "Metaverse by Havas": a dedicated consulting, creative and media offering aimed at brands that see opportunities in the Metaverse to reinvent branding, storytelling, experience, targeting and revenue generation.

In "The Sandbox", where the real and virtual worlds merge into an immersive experience, Havas itself will offer a new, enhanced Village Experience with comprehensive programs, exclusive content and gamification, and will host conferences, events, concerts, customer:inside presentations or product launches.

"The metaverse offers a wealth of new media and potential for the communications industry and for brands. Whether it's creating original and meaningful experiences, reaching new audiences, or simply strengthening an existing bond, the possibilities are virtually endless. Havas Group is installing an experienced and equally innovative Metaverse expert:in team to lead this new project and guide brands soundly into these virtual world(s)," said Yannick Bolloré, Chairman & CEO of Havas Group. "Our new Havas Village will be a 'meta-flagship' for the Group, bringing together our communities in an enriching extension of our brick-and-mortar Villages."

The virtual Havas Village is also celebrating another premiere with an included recruitment service, which is also a novelty in the field of human resources. A virtual and immersive dimension that will expand the employee experience, including the onboarding process, in the medium term.

Céline Merle-Beral, Global Chief HR Officer, Havas Group, adds: "With Havas as a player in 'The Sandbox', we are betting on the metaverse because we are convinced of the potential of gaining access to creative and innovative profiles with sought-after skills - from tech to data. As a group, we are strengthening our employer branding, offering applicants a state-of-the-art experience and breaking new ground in our campus management strategy. The Metaverse is a fantastic opportunity for us to attract the top talent of tomorrow."

The new Havas Village is expected to open to the public in "The Sandbox" in late April 2022.
