Amazon acquires podcast network Wondery
US online shopping giant Amazon is going on a shopping spree of its own. According to its own statements, Amazon is acquiring Wondery. The podcast start-up produces well-known podcasts such as "Dirty John" and "Dr. Death".
According to media reports, the purchase price is around $300 million. Accordingly, iPhone manufacturer Apple and Sony Music Entertainment had also shown interest in acquiring the start-up. (SDA)
