The communications industry is changing. This also affects the agency-client relationship. This is precisely where the "Social Media Excellence Program" designed by Notch Interactive for Siemens Switzerland comes in.

The starting point was Siemens Switzerland's need to have a stronger presence on social media channels and to position itself as an innovative and reliable partner in the B2B sector as well.

However, the aim was not only to use the channels more intensively and professionally, but also to internalize them. True to the motto: "At Siemens, everyone is social media. Because social media is a skill, not a job role."

In its implementation, Notch Interactive broke new ground and designed the "Social Media Excellence Program" - a tool that achieves three goals simultaneously:

  1. Creating a common understanding, both in the communications department and among internal clients and stakeholders.
  2. Increasing professional expertise across the team.
  3. The concrete processing and direct and joint implementation of social media measures.

The program consists of the four modules "Start", "Teach", "Coach" and "Reward". In addition to learning about social media concepts (Start) and in-depth knowledge in the sub-areas of channels, targeting, planning and content creation (Teach), participants work on concrete tasks from their real working environment. Notch Interactive provides support in the workgroups and one-to-one sessions (Coach). Upon completion of the ten-month program, graduates are awarded a certificate (Reward).

According to Irene Ackermann, Head of Marketing and Communications Siemens Switzerland, the "Social Media Excellence Program" has triggered a real boost among participants, not only in terms of skills, but also in terms of mindset. "With Notch Interactive, we have brought an extremely experienced team on board that has brought us a big step forward in terms of content and methodology, as well as enabling genuine and efficient co-creation," Ackermann is quoted as saying in a statement.
