Nebelspalter launches new website and puts all issue since 1875 online

To coincide with the publication of the November print edition, Nebelspalter is going online with a new website. Nebelspalter.ch now comes with a clear and contemporary design that takes up the characteristic basic aesthetic of the print edition and combines it with dynamic and interactive elements.

The two central areas of the new Internet presence are the current news feed, which combines daily online articles and selected articles from the print edition, and the magazine archive, which provides access to PDF issues and online articles back to 2005. Intuitive filter functions according to year, categories as well as authors and cartoonists make research a breeze. But that's not all: For the project E-Periodica the entire Nebelspalter collection has been digitized in recent years in cooperation with ETH and the Swiss National Library, so that the magazine can be browsed free of charge all the way back to its founding year in 1875.

The new website relies on Responsive Design and always allows optimal display and full functionality on smartphone, tablet and desktop. Nebelspalter online is of course connected to the popular social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and also offers the widely used Disqus comment function.

The new website was realized in cooperation with Creative Minds, an advertising agency from eastern Switzerland.
