New shopping experience in Vögele Shoes stores thanks to Richnerstutz and Netvico

Aargau-based POS specialist Richnerstutz and Stuttgart-based technology company Netvico have jointly designed and implemented digital info points for shoe retail chain Vögele Shoes.

The Infopoints provide customers with a new kind of shopping experience. If the preferred model is not available in the desired size and color in the store, the customer can view the desired item at the Infopoint and order it straight away - to the relevant store or straight home free of charge. The Richnerstutz and Netvico team developed and installed the Infopoints, which are already in use in ten stores. Another six outlets are currently being equipped, and more are planned. In addition to the Infopoints, classic advertising displays round off the modern appearance of the branches.

The new Infopoints allow a simple and fast stock check, which on the one hand makes the work of the sales staff easier and on the other hand can be used as sales support in customer discussions. With the Infopoints, customers have a significantly larger assortment selection at their disposal. Since spring 2017, for example, even a relatively small store such as the one at Bern station has been offering the entire range of over 4,000 models.

Vögele Shoes customers can use the Infopoints independently or with the support of sales staff. If the size, color or model they want is not available locally at the moment, the Infopoint gives customers a few clicks to order the right shoe directly on site, in one of the Vögele Shoes stores or even free of charge at home. The aim of this digital transformation is to offer an extended store counter by linking online and offline, enabling customers to enjoy the benefits of both worlds.

Shopping experience also for children

Children also benefit from the upgrading of Vögele Shoes' stores. Richnerstutz has equipped original TukTuks with touchscreens and placed them in the sales outlets. While the parents are shopping, the children enjoy interactive games, shortening the often tedious waiting time. A classic win-win situation.

Based on the "PlayEverywhere" software, an intuitive solution was developed to enable a new shopping experience. The proven software fulfills all requirements in the area of digital signage and omnichannel with the display of static images, animations or videos via the connection of third-party systems up to complex interactive systems. Three to five Infopoints are centrally and visibly integrated into existing shelves at each point of sale. "The common requirement in the development was that the Infopoints should optimally integrate visually into the existing store infrastructure and support the uniform planning of new branches," says Peter Ellensohn from Richnerstutz.
