EdM thus focuses not only on performance goals but also on communicative aspects. Accordingly, Susanne Flückiger, Head of Communications at EdM, emphasizes: "It was important to us that people don't feel any compulsion to donate or have a guilty conscience. That's why we communicate positively about issues. We want to show how much good a donation can do for local schoolchildren. Don't come up with the usual negativism, but create a positive emotional world, is the basic idea of the campaign that starts this week in German-speaking Switzerland. Goldbach Interactive realized the new campaign in close cooperation with the client and also on site with the school children in Burkina Faso.

The heart of the campaign is the "paint-by-numbers" game, which is being reinterpreted for this purpose. Thus, on the specially created microsite Paint-by-numbers.ch a picture reproduced by an artist from Burkina Faso, which can be colored field by field. Interested donors can select a field, which, depending on its size, represents a certain donation amount. Once the donation is complete, the field is permanently colored, giving the donor the feeling that they are effectively part of a larger whole.
