YMC and TrueStory have implemented an interactive 3D map for Migros on the "From the region. For the region." label.

Under the label "From the region. For the region." Migros sells around 8,000 products that can only be bought in the region and are carefully produced by regional producers with a love of their own roots. With the new interactive 3D map, Swiss retailer Migros is targeting a young clientele and following a trend in digital society: consumers value regional products and they also want to be able to obtain targeted information on who, where and how anytime and anywhere, even while on the move. Anyone who visits the website at the URL Map.from-the-region.migros.ch The user embarks on a seemingly playful journey. By clicking on a region, the user is virtually "flown" to the various offers on a beautifully presented plate. There is a variety of regional offers to discover with information about the product, the producers as well as suitable recipe suggestions. The offer is constantly being expanded.

According to the press release, a great deal of attention was paid to creating a detailed replica of Switzerland in miniature format. If you look closely, you will discover lovingly designed details such as the Meteo house on the Säntis, the Jet d'eau in Lake Geneva or the Unesco World Heritage route Albula/Bernina in the canton of Graubünden.
The technology stack consists of a Symfony3 application, in which the content can be edited, as well as a single page application, which is able to present the virtual map of Switzerland consistently on all common end devices. The makers of the card - IT service provider YMC Kreuzlingen and digital creative agency TrueStory Küsnacht ZH have already worked successfully as a team for client Migros in the past.
