Zurich and San Sebastián establish film market

The Zurich Film Festival and the San Sebastián Film Festival show solidarity with the independent film industry and launch a new film market where projects stranded due to the Corona pandemic can be presented.

Both festivals support hard-hit independent cinema and show films from SXSW, Tribeca & Co. The market shows buyers from all over the world films that originally should have been shown at other festivals. It is thus intended to help independently financed projects find distributors.

Neighborhood help nationally organized with Citizen.Love

With the mobile optimized Platform Citizen.Love people looking for help and those willing to help can coordinate their help quickly and easily. The platform requires no registration, is easily accessible via the browser, and is a support and complement to neighborhood groups on Facebook and other social networks. It was launched by a group of volunteer developers, supported by the campaign organization Campax.

"It's important to us that even people with little understanding of technology can get help safely and easily. That's why we programmed Citizen.Love with a focus on usability and simplicity," said Manuel Frick, spokesman for the development group. "We are now working on being able to request help via SMS as well."

Free job platform for creatives

The One Club for Creativity.has the "COVID-19 Jobs Board." introduced. In response to the sudden volatility in the advertising and design industry caused by the corona virus, the organization aims to use the free service to connect job seekers with agencies, design studios, production companies and brands around the world to fill open positions. The platform is freely accessible to the entire industry around the world, and membership is also not required.
