Drone pickup service for nursing home residents

As the first retirement home in Switzerland, the Riedhof - Leben und Wohnen im Alter, based in Zurich-Höngg, is offering residents a new drone drop-off and pick-up service as part of its digitalization efforts. The Riedhof is convinced that this offer will significantly improve the comfort of transportation for residents. The flights, which are controlled by qualified personnel, only take place in good weather.

Free home delivery service for people over 65 years old

In order to protect the particularly vulnerable risk group from the coronavirus, customers over the age of 65 can now order food and hygiene products by phone or e-mail at Coop City department stores and Coop supermarkets in various cities. Volunteers from the Swiss Red Cross SRC will deliver the order to their homes the next working day. The free delivery service will be offered in Bern, Olten, Zurich and Lausanne as a first step, with other regions to follow.
