Building technology goes virtual reality

Suissetec, the association of building technicians, inspired the young at SwissSkills 2018 with a new virtual reality game. In collaboration with the creative agency Erdmannpeisker and the VR and AR service provider Bandara, the game "Test Your Skills" was created.

In "Test Your Skills," young people can learn about the five building technology professions in five exciting mini-games and crack the high score.

The game was developed for cardboards, which were given to the players free of charge. This allows them to continue playing at home with friends and Suissetec continues to be present via an attractive giveaway. At the show, players could play the VR game with an Oculus Rift and win headsets as daily prizes. The competition for the main prize - a trip to Europapark - will continue until the end of the year.

Suissetec is successfully relying on virtual reality games for its trade fair appearances for the second time. "Our last year's VR game "Toilet Superbowl" was already a real crowd puller with the youngsters. And the new game "Test Your Skills" also met with great interest and was played by many young people," says Martina Bieler, project manager at Suissetec.
