Frank Bodin, born in 1962, is CEO of the Havas Worldwide agency in Zurich/Geneva. Before entering the advertising scene in 1992, he was a pianist and composer. Today, he is one of the most important advertisers in Switzerland. In 2009, he was named Advertiser of the Year. He is also president of ADC Switzerland, board member of SW Schweizer Werbung, bsw leading swiss agencies and teaches as a guest lecturer at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich (HWZ). One of his most successfully implemented advertising campaigns is "Stop Aids. Love life" for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (BAG).Bodin's philosophy of work and life cannot be expressed better than in his own words: The motto "Thinking. Creating. Transforming." is so perfectly reduced to the essentials that it describes his professional ambitions as well as his personality. Music, law and advertising are among his interests, but so are literature and design. Already during his time at the Zurich Conservatory, the talented young musician had the opportunity to play with the famous violinist and conductor Yehudi Menhuin. After graduating in piano and composition, he performed with internationally renowned orchestras. But in his constant search for brilliance, the restless spirit discovered advertising while studying law in the mid-1980s. The new playing field as a copywriter/conceptualizer and assistant director allowed him to combine his creative-artistic streak with his pragmatic-rational one. When Bodin finally traded the concert stage for the advertising stage in 1992, the steep career path on which he collected hundreds of awards was already mapped out. The creative multi-talent has never lost his flair for loud and soft sounds.
